Every time I turn around there's a new designer or boutique to share that offers trendy clothes for babies and toddlers.

Expecting Greatness
When I was pregnant with my son - nearly five years ago - I could not stop shopping for the right products, the hippest clothes and the newest items to help make life as easy as possible with a new baby - and more glamorous. Several sites cater to new moms and dads. Here are just a few that I've re-discovered lately.

Copacetique
I just love that word (copacetic). I hardly ever use it, but when I came across the site that carries the name (sort of), I just had to say it out loud to myself (several times).
There are more and more sites that I find every day which carry fun, unique, and bold designs and products.

I've mentioned Giggle before, but it's a great site and one I rediscovered recently.

Branding & Logos
Do you recognize these logos?
This site might seem overwhelmingly bombarded with logos and graphics, but if you look around our ever-changing world, it too is outlined by new designs and fonts every day.
In the marketing and advertising industries, branding & creating logos, that are not only appealing but recognizable, is becoming a greater challenge and producing more competition among graphic designers.
Capsule, a Minneapolis based company specializing in brand strategy and identity design services has published a guide entitled, Design Matters: Logos 01, An Essential Primer for Today's Competitive Market.
Essential is the key word here. This is a must-have for graphic designers, or anyone looking to brand their company, products or services.

Heath Ledger 1979-2008
I was shocked by the news today of Heath Ledger's passing. He was a great actor (and father) who I could envision working in the industry for his lifetime. Sadly, his life was cut short at the age of 28, leaving behind a two-year old daughter (Matilda Rose Ledger).Heath has a long-list of film credits to his name. My personal favorites:
- 10 Things I Hate About You
- The Patriot
- A Knight's Tale
- Monster's Ball
- Lords of Dogtown
- Casanova

All You Need is Love
Since the beginning of the year, I've discovered that three of my friends from high school and college are getting married this year. Babies and weddings. I've got a lot to look forward to in 2008 so I'm on the look out for ways to help spread the joy. Here are just a few resources for companies who produce beautiful announcements and invitations.
