Giveaway: Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult

Jodi Picoult is a prolific writer who does a great deal of research on the often-controversial subjects she deals with in her novels.

First introduced to me with The Pact: A Love Story, Jodi quickly became my favorite author and has not let me down, publishing a new book every year. All of her books are written with unbelievable depth and feature characters who are very well developed and who readers can easily relate to or identify with.

My personal favorite from her long list of titles has to be Nineteen Minutes, a book I could not put down once I started reading it and have since recommended to every parent and teacher that I know or come across.

I recently finished Change of Heart in less than 24 hours so that I could get started on her latest title, Handle with Care. I was excited to get her newest book when it arrived, but I was even more surprised when I received a second copy (that I had apparently pre-ordered months ago and had forgotten about). I am now offering this second copy as a giveaway here on this blog!

To be eligible, simply leave a comment here with your favorite Jodi Picoult book and why it is your personal favorite. If you haven't had the opportunity to read one of her books yet, let us know who your favorite author is or how you first heard of this giveaway. The winner will be chosen at random on April 1st (no April Fool's jokes here). Open to U.S. residents only.

Good luck and Happy Reading!

I've read every Jodi Picoult book up to her latest, and while I enjoyed them all, Change of Heart was my personal favorite. It was thought provoking, exploring the issues prisoner's rights and the death penalty and the ever controversial issue of religion. I liked it because no matter what your personal views, it forces you to take a hard look at the issues and consider opposing sides. Loved it!

I loved Plain Truth. I loved learning about the Amish people. Jodi Picoult has a great way of making you feel like you are right there with the characters in the book. Love her!

My favorite has always been My Sister's Keeper. Very riveting story, made me wish I had a sister. Her books never disappoint.

My favorite is Picture Perfect. It was the first of her books that I read. I remember seeing the yellow dress on the cover and thinking that the title was giving away that things were likely not so perfect as in a picture. The story really gripped me, but it was her digging into the historical aspect of Native American culture and how she translated a traditional dance into a message that really impressed me.

My favourite book and the very first one I read was My Sister's Keeper. It was so thought provoking and me being in a situation where I get a lot of medical help it really made me think. I loved the ending too. It was so amazing and just something that you would never guess. I cried and laughed and just related to the characters. I LOVE IT!

Ooh. Jodi Picoult is brilliant. I got addicted to her writing with My sister's keeper. I loved how she switched narrative voices from chapter to chapter - each one unique and so very authentic. The topic of that book was fascinating too - would I use one child to save another?

Welcome to the Blog Party!! It's my first so it's nice to meet you, I just saw your name on the list and loved your post before this, make me appreciate a lot of things about my husband. I love Jodi Picoult too, my first and still favorite was My Sister's Keeper but I've read them all, even the first ones, and appreciate the way she really dives into a topic, especially the book about the school shooting, the title slips my mind. I'm sure talking to those families was really difficult. She's amazing!

I have to say my favorite Jodi Picoult book is Nineteen Minutes.

I was in high school nearby when Columbine Colorado High School was rampaged, and it left a big impression on me. It was AMAZING to see another side of that story.

She is one of my favorite authors! When I start one of her books I can't put it down. I think my favorite was The Plain Truth. I didn't know much about Amish Culture and didn't see some of the twists coming. Thanks for the giveaway! utgal2004[at]yahoo[dot]com

She is one of my favorite authors. My personal favorite is "Change of Heart" because of the unusual subject matter and the moral questions it poses. It's a great read!
